Sharpen headlines, fix copy and keep every ASN story accurate, clear and on style.
About the role
You are the last pair of eyes before a story goes live. You will edit copy for accuracy, clarity and tone, write headlines that work in search and on social, and keep the ASN style consistent.
What you'll do
- Edit and publish news stories and features in our newsroom system
- Write headlines, summaries and SEO titles
- Check facts, figures, names and links
- Choose and caption images, and maintain the ASN style guide
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of sub-editing or copy-editing experience in digital news
- An excellent command of English grammar and news style
- Calm under deadline pressure, with fast and careful editing
- A working knowledge of SEO basics
