Startup Reporter
Break funding news, profile founders and explain the deals shaping India's startup ecosystem.
About the role
You will report daily on startups, venture capital and tech policy, with a focus on India. You will chase funding scoops, write founder profiles and turn complex deals into clear, accurate stories our readers trust.
What you'll do
- File 2 to 3 news stories a day, plus a longer feature or analysis each week
- Build a network of founders, investors, bankers and policy sources
- Verify funding figures and company claims before they are published
- Pitch ideas for ASN Premium deep dives and video explainers
What we're looking for
- 1 to 4 years of reporting experience, ideally in business, tech or startups
- Clean, fast writing in English (Hindi is a plus)
- A strong news sense and the habit of checking every fact
- Comfort with numbers: funding rounds, valuations and company filings
